Brian relied too much on Angus? What about that voice? Fingernails on a chalkboard compared to Bonn. -- Submitted By: (ParkerTillman) on July 19, 2012, 3:24 pm - (0 votes)

AndyC got it pretty much right here. These guys haven't changed their sound to try to keep up with the times. They consistently put out solid record after record. Their latest, Black Ice is still just as hard, and good, as some of their earlier stuff. My favorites AC/DC albums are: Black in Black, Highway to Hell, The Razors Edge, and the double live CD, not necessarily in that order. -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on April 20, 2012, 11:37 pm - (2 votes)

AndyC has it right. Short of some crap here and there, they have, for the most part, stood the test of time.
The only problem I have with anything associated AC/DC is with iTunes, and selling AC/DC songs played by some shit cover band. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on December 28, 2010, 5:22 am - (1 votes)

Never boned. You always know what you're getting with AC/DC. They're consistent and their songs still stand up after 30-odd years. Old bands can go three ways if they manage to stay together. They can become worn out parodies of their former selves, they can go into semi-retirement and tour around playing by-the-numbers concerts of their old hits as much for their own entertainment as for the audience (nothing wrong with that, by the way), or they can go pandering to Hollywood, writing drivel for movies and/or licencing their classic songs to corporate advertisers. AC/DC is one of the few classic rock bands that have remained relevant, stayed true to what they do, and continued to release new albums and enjoy legitimate stardom. -- Submitted By: (AndyC) on April 13, 2010, 5:54 pm - (2 votes)

Comment on rodduling's comment that "they got old." What are they supposed to do, get younger? The only way you don't get older any more is to die. By your rationale we don't need a Bone The Fish site because everyone who doesn't die and gets older bones the fish. -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on March 8, 2010, 6:11 pm - (3 votes)

Never boned! They have been using the same formula for almost 40 years - through disco, through punk, through new wave and hair bands, through grunge and nu metal. Guess what?? It still works!!! While bands from the past genres end up in the bargain bin, AC/DC is still selling a ton of music and selling out concerts worldwide!

If you've ever seen these guys live there's no way on earth you could ever imagine they've boned any fish. Best live concert ever!! -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on May 3, 2009, 7:34 pm - (1 votes)

Day what you will about Black Ice only being exclusive to Wal Mart, but it didn't hurt sales any. Black Ice was the second best selling AC/DC album (behind Back In Black), and was a smash hit world wide. AC/DC has always rocked, and always will rock! -- Submitted By: (BAM) on May 2, 2009, 9:56 pm - (0 votes)

This is the one rock group that absolutely, truly, never, ever boned their fish. Just because their lead singer died, what were they supposed to do? Give up? No, just get a new lead singer and put out an even bigger album. They've never followed a trend, they've only set trends. Putting their latest CD out at Wal-Mart doesn't mean anything. I think they've earned the right to release their CD any doggone where they want to by now. AC/DC Rocks!! -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on April 16, 2009, 6:41 pm - (0 votes)
