The PlayStation 3 (officially marketed PLAYSTATION 3,[commonly abbreviated PS3) is the third home video game console produced by Sony Computer Entertainment, and the successor to the PlayStation 2 as part of the PlayStation series. The PlayStation 3 competes with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles.

You can relax; PS4 (or Orbis) won't be as expensive as the PS3. The only reason why the PS3 was at $600 in the first place was because of the Blu-Ray technology (which was very new & expensive at the time back in 2005/2006), & because of the cell processor architecture (also very new & expensive).

Agreed. The only reason my parents had gotten me a PS2 before I went to college was because it could be used as a DVD player, and it gave me something extra to do so I didn't get bored down in college between my classes and such.
