Wendy's Old Fashioned hamburgers is an international chain of fast food restaurants founded by Dave Thomas & John T. Schuessler on November 15, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio. As of December 2006, Wendy's was the world's third largest hamburger fast food chain with approximately 6,700 locations following McDonald's 31,000 locations and Burger King's 11,200 locations. On April 24, 2008, the company announced a merger with Triarc, the parent company of Arby's. Despite the new ownership, Wendy's remains headquartered in Dublin, Ohio.

JayD, she's not even a natural redhead either--it's a wig! And she's so skinny it couldn't be more obvious she's never had so much as a bite of anything from Wendy's in her life. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on March 15, 2013, 8:03 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Those of us with a red-head fetish would STRONGLY disagree. -- Submitted By: (BrewMaster) on March 14, 2013, 2:56 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Totally agree about the red head girl in the commercials. Super annoying. I also don't like how they stereotype men, just like all other media do as well. Men: sloppy, stupid, selfish, incompetent and lazy. Obsessed with junk food, sports and not much else. Yet criticizing them (along with criticizing Christians) seems to be okay, while anyone else is off limits. No wonder the males of our generation are so screwed up. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on March 13, 2013, 10:09 pm - (5 votes) - Login to Vote
I really can't stand that red headed chick who is in the commercials nowadays. This is so you! All that's missing is a baconater. Can't switch the channel fast enough. -- Submitted By: (JayD) on March 12, 2013, 3:56 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Never cared for Wendy's, myself. -- Submitted By: (Jp) on March 7, 2013, 6:26 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
At first, the new russet potato fries with sea salt were actually nice and flavor-filled. They didn't really taste TOO much different from the originals, which were good. However, as time passed, the fries' taste and quality took a dive. The original fries were fine. Why did they feel the need to change them? If it ain't broke, don't fix it! -- Submitted By: (Robert) on July 24, 2011, 3:15 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I liked their old fries better than their current fries. -- Submitted By: (cartooner) on July 17, 2011, 6:22 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote

Its way better than fast food? That is correct, since it would kill you slower than other fast food would. Plus that mascot gave me nightmares. -- Submitted By: (Mr.Zimpy) on January 2, 2011, 7:37 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Amen (Jler2562) I guess i not the only one who loose her appitite by seeing that fugly freckled girl. -- Submitted By: (shanequia) on September 16, 2009, 9:56 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
The food's not bad for fast food, but I agree with Shanequia about Wendy. I know she's based on Dave's daughter, but seeing an ugly, freckled redhead doesn't exactly spur my appetite. -- Submitted By: (JLer2562) on September 14, 2009, 10:17 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
shanequia, That was the late Dave Thomas the founder of Wendy's who put up the image of the red-headed pigtailed girl on the sign- modelled somewhat after his own daughter named Wendy. As for the food? Well, the burgers always seemed to greasy and underdone to me (I don't care if they called them 'hot and juicy') . I rarely eat hamburgers these days but when I do, they need to be well done and moist (NOT greasy or, worse, smushed on the grill which turns them into pucks) . Anyway, because I hardly ever eat burgers and they don't cook them they way I like them, they've boned a long time for me- and not because of any bogus rumors. While I'm here, though, anyone else old enough to remember when they lost a good amount of business due to some rotten rumor about the burgers being made of worms instead of beef? It was,of course, completely bogus but one of my school friends jokingingly asked for a worm burger and they immediately took her to the kitchen prep area to prove they were beef without so much as cracking a smile. -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on September 8, 2009, 2:30 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I would eat here sometime and it ok. I just want to know who the smart person is who thought putting the head of Pippi Longstocking as a logo would sell burgers? that little red haired girl fugly. I loose my appitite just looking at those freckles and braids. I picture that homely child flipping the burgers in the back room when I go in there and I want to call the child labor hotline. -- Submitted By: (shanequia) on September 6, 2009, 7:19 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Here in northern New Jersey, there's only three fast food burger joints: McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's. (Yes, we also have White Castle up here, but I hate onions, so that's out of the question for me.) Between those three options, where would you rather eat? Personally, I'd say "none of them" and get my burger from a diner or Fuddruckers, but if I had to, Wendy's burgers are miles ahead of those other two. They actually taste like beef, rather than burnt charcoal or meat-flavored plant byproducts (all you Buffy fans know what I'm talking about). -- Submitted By: (KevinR1990) on July 10, 2009, 9:40 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
OK, McDonald's is turning into a coffee shop, Wendy's is turning into a Chinese restaurant...what next, Burger King becoming a pancake shop? -- Submitted By: (Robert) on July 7, 2009, 1:28 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
If they're gonna to have faux-General Joe chicken, why not at least serve it with rice and chopsticks? -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on July 5, 2009, 6:33 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

Wendy's is a great change of pace if you're tiring of Mickey D's and BK. Their spicy chicken sandwich rocks. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 5, 2009, 12:08 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
