Tiger is regaining form, but he's never going to be the superstar he was 4-5 years ago. He's going to win some more tournaments and in fact he might win a few more majors. At one time a golfer turning 40 was almost a surefire moment when their big time winning was over, but with the advancements in technology and healthcare, golfers can stay competitive into their later 40s, as Ernie Els and Vijay Singh have shown. However, Tiger has had a history of injuries and I wonder if those will start having permanent repercussions. I can see him winning 1 to 2 more majors, but I don't think he's breaking Jack's record. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on September 19, 2012, 4:58 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
He's been winning a few tournaments lately; unfortunately, none of them have been majors. He hasn't won a major in years. If he continues to choke in the majors, he will never match Jack's record of 18 major wins. -- Submitted By: (JayD) on September 19, 2012, 12:53 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Tiger needs to learn to cool it with the swearing and club-throwing on the course, and stop with the skirt-chasing off the course. As long as he keeps up his old shenanigans, he'll never be anywhere as great as the Golden Bear. In a nutshell - clean up your act, Tiger. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on August 19, 2010, 4:25 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
Why do people still refer to him as the #1 golfer? He sure hasn't been playing the part recently. -- Submitted By: (JayD) on July 7, 2010, 9:44 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
PYLrulz, there's a big difference between average joes like us losing our cool on the course and PGA professionals. I've been to some PGA events and most of the golfers keep their cool even when they hit bad shots. Tiger Woods gets a pass because he's Tiger Woods. Great golfers like Tom Watson, Arnold, Jack and even Phil Mickelson never toss their clubs or cuss up a storm. Being a PGA golfer you are held to a higher level of professionalism. 90% of the golfers would get fined or suspended if they behaved like Tiger does on the course. The excuses of "he's just competitive" or whatever don't fly anymore. He needs to learn some tact and class. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on May 23, 2010, 11:56 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
Well I won't knock him too much for his on the course demeanor (though he could chill at times). How many of us are cussing away at the ball on course whenever we slice one? In terms of his personal life though. Yeah, no excuses for that at all. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on May 23, 2010, 4:27 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
So sick of this guy and sports writers drooling all over him. He is totally unlikable and always has been. Tossing clubs, cussing up a storm, being a poor loser, always having that sour look on his face. I hate when people excuse that behavior. "He's just competitive." So were Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus and they seemed to keep their cool even when things weren't going their way. Now people are trying to excuse his sick behavior with women and his attitude towards his wife. "He has a sex addiction. He's just so popular." No excuses. I hope this scumbag never takes over the record from the Golden Bear. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on May 22, 2010, 9:28 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
Thank God the Masters is over and the right guy won--the guy who's been faithful to his wife through breast cancer when Tiger would've dropped her like a hot potato seconds after hearing the news. Now maybe I won't have to hear about this bum any more for a few weeks at least. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:09 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I don't think MCS's message was "he cheated, big deal", but more like irritation that the news keeps harping on one string: Tiger cheated, Tiger cheated, Tiger cheated. MCS, the only solution I can think of is to shut off the news program until they finally report news (how ironic, news programs not reporting news). Or get news online. That way, you won't have to sit through ten minutes "Tiger this, Tiger that" for them to finally move on to real news and world events. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on April 3, 2010, 9:07 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Yes, but when you have the cheater have a background that looks clean and immaculate, it will end up, no matter who it is, be open season on the cheater. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on April 2, 2010, 3:48 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
He cheated on his wife. So have hundreds of other celebrities, whether they are athletes, singers, actors, or politicians. Yes, we all know it is wrong. But this is hardly news-worthy. GET OVER IT! -- Submitted By: (MCS) on April 1, 2010, 9:18 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I thought that there was something bizarre about how Tiger looked during his PR appearance, but I couldn't quite place it. And then I figured it out -- this is the first time I've ever seen the top of his head. It's the first time I've ever seen the man without a basecall cap bearing a certain logo on top of his head. I guess Nike didn't want their logo appearing under these circumstances. -- Submitted By: (Eugene) on February 22, 2010, 6:17 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I don't care how many lame and insincere apologies Tiger makes only because his PR people told him to, I'm sick of him. He's just another bum who cheated on his wife, like there aren't enough of those guys already. So he can play golf really well, so what? All this had done is make me determined to never pay any attention to Tiger Woods again as long as I live! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on February 22, 2010, 3:42 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
"I have a long way to go, but I've taken my first steps," Woods said. "I need to regain my balance and be centered." -- Submitted By: (Hikariu) on February 19, 2010, 2:05 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

Not the only one MCS. Honestly, its just stupid on how the media will inflate someone, and yet at the sign of a miscue, will burst the person's bubble. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on December 14, 2009, 7:08 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Am I the only one who is tired of the car accident cheating thing? Can we move on please? -- Submitted By: (MCS) on December 13, 2009, 9:42 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
While I'm by no means happy to find out that he's evidently been an adulterer, I'd hardly call him a 'complete waste of human flesh'. I mean, he's not on the same plane as child molestors or meth lab operators! I can't say I'm entirely surprised, though, as I always thought him being the Mozart of Golf being groomed nonstop to be an unbeatably phenomenal player from early toddlerhood onwards would cause damage in SOME capacity. One cannot do that to a child without something or someone having to give in a bad way somewhere down the line! Now that he's taking an 'indefinite leave' from the game that has been the dominant force in his life from as far back as he can remember, in addition to making up to his wife and family for his 'transgressions', I hope he uses this opportunity to try to work out his demons and find his peace to the betterment of others somewhat in the way Andre Agassi seems to have done since HIS retirement from sports. -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on December 12, 2009, 11:48 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
True, it looks as if he was nothing more than what Chubby said, but at the same time, its the media and the public that put him on that pedestal. Yes, Tiger should know better, but if people are thinking that certain people are good, clean living, excellent role models for society, then you are crazy. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on December 10, 2009, 4:05 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I'm so glad Tiger's bubble has burst (or rather, his fish has been boned) because nobody is THAT pristine! Turns out he actually does not live, breathe, sweat, bleed, and dream golf 110% of the time. He literally CAN roll out of bed (with some skank) after a night on the town and go shoot a 69 (insert rimshot)! He obviously has talent, so he should be able to resurrect his career. At least he no longer has an unattainable image to live up to. -- Submitted By: (Nature_Boy) on December 10, 2009, 3:32 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
