Drew Carey Show, The - TV Shows
I remember this show just getting really weird with a bunch of gimmick episodes, and that's about when I gave up on it. When I turned it back on, Drew was working as a lunch lady. Then, a year later, he was back at Winfred Louder. I couldn't take it anymore... Maybe that's why my opinion of both the show and of Drew Carey are not flattering.
But, now, I'm giving it another shot. I'm watching the show in its entirety (or at least as much as I can take), and the first season isn't really that bad. When I reach the point where the show jumps the shark, I'll be back to vote. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on February 16, 2013, 10:40 am
Batman Beyond - TV Shows
I agree with the Joker. Terry McGuinness is not Batman. Though, I hate to admit I loved to see Batfake mess with Joker's head in that film... I'm not going to vote, though, because it's not possible to jump the shark on day one. That shouldn't even be an option. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on February 16, 2013, 10:32 am
Boston Public - TV Shows
Everything that has ever gone wrong at any school in America has gone wrong at Winslow High within a four-year time frame.
I don't think there was a clear jump the shark moment. I think it happened gradually in season 3. I feel like the focus was gradually shifted throughout the course of season 3, perhaps to market toward a more specific demographic, but I can't find a single defining moment like I can with most shows. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on November 26, 2012, 1:08 pm
ALF - TV Shows
@DolFan316 In their defence, that was meant to be resolved in the next season.
Of course, they had already been cancelled. They KNEW they weren't getting a next season, but they thought an extreme cliff-hanger would change the network's mind. Even in the unlikely event that it did (this technique rarely works), most of the cast wouldn't have come back because production on that show was a nightmare. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on May 3, 2012, 4:45 pm
Wonder Years, The - TV Shows
Okay, so Paul never officially left the show, but when he was only showing up once every three or four episodes, I think it was pretty much over. They grew apart. I get that. Kids do that. But, somehow the show wasn't the same when he went from being a main character to a recurring character. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on March 7, 2012, 1:27 am
X-Files - TV Shows
I still never understood while the FBI wouldn't have just closed the X-Files after Mulder disappeared. Mulder was the only reason they created the X-Files department. Without him, there was no reason to keep it open. Assigning someone else to it just to keep the show going? That's just silly. I don't buy it. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on August 14, 2011, 11:19 am
Glee - TV Shows
I'm catching up with my DVR, but as the prom started, they weren't even two lines in and I hit stop on my DVR, deleted it, said, "Well, THAT show is over," and then deleted my subscription. Anyone who even acknowledges Rebecca Black's existence should be charged as an accessory to murder. Putting the most annoying song in musical (and I'm using the word, "musical" liberally) history on television? Well, that's nothing short of criminal. I'd like to see FOX go to jail over this. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on May 16, 2011, 6:41 pm
Penn & Teller: Bullshit! - TV Shows
I'm not sure exactly when the censorship began. We, the viewers, found out about it with the DVD release of season 7, but if I had to guess, I'd say it goes back as far as season 5. That's where things started getting suspicious. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on May 9, 2011, 10:35 am

How did THAT troll comment make it past the moderation? Why moderate at all then? -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on April 23, 2011, 3:07 pm

Tosh.0 - TV Shows
Aside from the fact that this is a site about shows reaching their climax rather than a site about whether or not shows were liked by by the majority, the header says, "Boned when..." So, if the webmaster elects not to remove the day one option, he should change it to, "A bad show can't bone." -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on April 22, 2011, 8:21 pm
Tosh.0 - TV Shows
If a show is bad from the beginning, that is not jumping the shark. Jumping the shark happens when mistakes are made in desperate attempts to cash in on a show that should have been left to die with dignity. A show being bad from the start is a matter of personal preference in a show. Even if it's bad to everyone, it's just a bad show. It's not the same thing. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on April 22, 2011, 6:01 pm
Reno 911! - TV Shows
The second season ended in charging all the officers and shutting down the Reno sheriff's office. The end of the show. Always intended to be with no opening left to continue it. When DVD releases boosted sales, Comedy Central got the really bad idea to bring it back from cancellation and pretty much ruined the show. Don't bring a show back if you already closed it up. Bad idea. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on April 22, 2011, 5:59 pm
Whose Line Is It Anyway? - TV Shows
You mean The Price Is Right? They gave him that to spare us from having to put up with his not comedy. The same reason they gave all the bad comedians game shows. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on April 22, 2011, 10:45 am
Whose Line Is It Anyway? - TV Shows
The difference between Clive Anderson and Drew Carey is that Clive KNEW he wasn't funny, so he stayed out of the bits. Drew never has been funny, no one ever thought he was except for him, and anyone who said he was was lying to make him feel better because they didn't think they could handle disappointment. The downside is, the rest of us had to suffer through his endless barrage of train wreck shows, not the least of which was his destroyed version of Whose Line. If his mother would have just told him how not funny he was 40 years ago, we wouldn't have to deal with this crap. Another reason honesty is the best policy.*
*No representation is to be made that honesty is ALWAYS the best policy. Please use your best judgement when deciding whether or not to be honest. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on April 21, 2011, 10:20 pm

If you could promise me that every episode would have ended in a suicide, I may actually have WATCHED this show. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on April 21, 2011, 6:00 pm
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - TV Shows
If I have one thing to say about this show, it's this: It could be worse. It could be Terminator 3 and 4. I guess it's a good thing Terminator 3 and 4 were never actually made. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on April 21, 2011, 5:53 pm
Tosh.0 - TV Shows
This is not a comment on this show but a message to the people who run this site. It seems "Day 1" in an option on every show, but by definition, a show can't jump the shark before it's established what it's about. Whoever puts "Day 1" as an option doesn't seem to be able to differentiate between a show's climax and a show they never cared for. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on April 21, 2011, 5:48 pm
Saturday Night Live - TV Shows
SNL has gone up and down in terms of quality depending on the cast and writers at the time. I guess it will continue to do this until the end of time. It can't really jump the shark because it's making fun of what is rather than trying to be something on its own. However, it does go through really slow patches with unfunny cast and writers but it always makes it through with another hilarious cast and set of writers. They usually make these changes at the beginning of a season so, if you didn't like it this season, check it out at the premier next season, and you might like it this time. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on April 21, 2011, 11:42 am
Penn & Teller: Bullshit! - TV Shows
I first noticed the censorship when the Vatican episode in season 7 seemed to disappear without a trace. It aired once, but it's been deleted from the official episode guide and the only mention it ever existed is a tiny episode stating it's not part of the "complete" season on DVD. We know what really happened. Showtime censored it. The lack of many fan-demanded episodes and abundance of completely silly episodes (for example, old people starring Maddox) leads me to believe there's more corporate censorship than the Vatican episode that we just don't know about because it never got its one airing. -- Submitted By: (TheCeej) on April 20, 2011, 9:06 pm
