I Love Lucy - TV Shows
Did I see someone post something about the "sexual tension" between Fred and Ethel?! I read that William Frawley hated Vivian Vance so much that he had it written into his contract that his shaky, alcoholic hands would never touch her. -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on July 19, 2015, 12:22 pm

When the Ricardos moved to Connecticut. They lost their edge and became a second-rate "Father Knows Best" or a pre-"Green Acres" "Green Acres." -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on July 19, 2015, 12:19 pm

I Love Lucy - TV Shows
Little Ricky was cute, and I don't remember him being obnoxious at all......unlike that AWFUL child on the Dick Van Dyke show. Now THAT was an annoying kid!! Such a whiner!!! -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on July 19, 2015, 12:18 pm

I Love Lucy - TV Shows
I have seen almost every episode of this show, zillions of times as they show it 24/7 on every channel and Nick at Nite.. and hands down this show definitely took the plunge when they did the move to Connecticut thing. That was just telling everyone that they had run out of ideas and focus with the show so maybe a new setting will give us some new ideas. (IE. Fred and chicken raising, nosey neighbors, country living references) and IMHO that bombed big time as it lead to the total demise of the show while adding little Ricky was annoying as well it definitely didn't kill the show nor did the trip to California or Europe as they had some good moments there. But once they got to CT. UGH! The show was over and died a painful death as theres not one funny CT episode. The whole idea was that they were a New York family and living in the Mertz's apartment. Now Fred and Ethyl moved to CT too with them? WHAT THE HELL IS THAT ABOUT?! I'm not even going to get into what is wrong about that. -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on July 19, 2015, 12:15 pm

I Love Lucy - TV Shows
What's up with the complaints about the birth of little Ricky? Gee whiz she was pregnant and they were married in real life what could be more natural? What would've been the alternative? How about a really funny episode where Lucy and Ethel sneak off to New Jersey so Lucy can get an abortion? Give me a break. -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on July 19, 2015, 12:11 pm

Golden Girls, The - TV Shows
I don't think GG ever really Jumped The Shark, but at some point it did start to lose steam. I think it was around Season 5 when the show got new writers. It started off as a being about real issues older people face but then the outlandish relatives appeared, the character traits became more caricature-ish and redundant (Rose dumb and tells a story about St. Olaf, Blanche slut, Dorothy can't get a date, Sophia makes smart remark and tells a story about Sicily etc.) It's easy to tell when the show is losing its grip on reality- the girls seem to wear more elaborate, expensive nighties and wear heels and a lot of makeup before bedtime. And their schtick became formulaic and repetitive. -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on July 19, 2015, 11:59 am

Toni's departutre left a void in the show. The producers attempted to fill the void with William's annoying fiancee Monica but she was definitely no Toni Childs. -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on July 19, 2015, 11:55 am

Girlfriends - TV Shows
This was not a Shark Jump moment but remember when everyone got mad at Lynn's sister Tanya because she told Joan how it was, and sung the n word along with everyone else in Ronnie's salon. Um, it was so obvious she was just singing along with the Jay Z song and was not trying to be derogatory. But suddenly everyone's opinion of her changed like she had rode in on a horse wearing a white sheet. And didn't I hear Maya call her a wigger when they first met her? That's not derogatory? -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on July 19, 2015, 11:51 am

Roseanne - TV Shows
The episode where the Devil shows up came on today and it reminded me exactly why I only watch Seasons 1-7 and skip the last two. -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on March 3, 2015, 11:32 pm

Soul Food - TV Shows
And I agree about Maxine flipping out about that cryptic letter. I mean jeez, she acted as if she found cold hard evidence. That letter was vague and even if it hadn't been, she really went overboard. First of all, she just loads up the kids into the van and tells them "we're going to McDonald's" and then drives all the way to Milwaukee to confront the lady who wrote Kenny the letter? Uhh, did you REALLY need to bring the kids along to see the show? And not only that, making them think you're taking them to McDonald's but then pulling up to some random woman's home to proclaim, "BITCH, YOU BETTER STAY AWAY FROM MY FUCKING HUSBAND" I understand her being upset but that was crazy, all she had as "proof" was some crumpled letter. -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on January 23, 2015, 12:36 am

Soul Food - TV Shows
Count me in as a member of the "I Hate Damon" club. Like seriously, what the fuck was his deal? Everyone on the show has their ridiculous moments at times, but buddy, this guy REALLY took the cake. The stunts he pulled would have gotten him slumped in real life, if not killed. Not only was he extremely annoying, he was also lacking in empathy towards everyone. Like let's be real, who in their right mind would put up with his ass when he's such a fuck-up, compulsive liar, cheat, and all around asshole? If Soul Food was real life, Damon would've gotten his block knocked off LONG AGO by SOMEBODY. And it would be well-deserved if you ask me. -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on January 23, 2015, 12:28 am

Designing Women - TV Shows
Even though I really love this show and watch it on lifetime, I have only a few problems with it. I was very annoyed when every show turned into a pulpit for Julia Sugarbaker and her women's rights/southern hospitality rants. I also hated it when every word out of Anthony's mouth was "When I was in Prison..." or "I have this friend who I met in jail.." Those got tiring quick. And why was he the only man on the show? And didn't they all just realize that he was gay? Sure he dated a few women, but it was obvious. And one more thing before I go, when did these people ever work?? I'm just saying. -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on August 15, 2014, 10:43 pm

Designing Women - TV Shows
Delta Burke's departure hurt the show. Julia Duffy's character was grating on the nerves. Then, there was the endless parade of Charlene's relatives. -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on August 15, 2014, 10:34 pm

Designing Women - TV Shows
When all the Designing Women had men they'd all go on couple outings eg; the cabin, dinning out I believe they've even spent a Valentine's Day all together. Can't they all just get an individual life and stop co-existing/co-habitating with each other. It could've been an orgy if it weren't for television censorship. -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on August 15, 2014, 10:33 pm

Different World, A - TV Shows
"A Different World", towards the end of its run, was so heavy and deep into the Afro-Centrism philosophy that I fully expected Louis Farrakhan, of the Nation of Islam fame, to make a guest appearance on at least one episode and urge all people of color to renounce any ties they had remaining with the Caucasian race. -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on August 15, 2014, 10:22 pm

Different World, A - TV Shows
Season one she's a stuck up southern belle, complete with a low-self-esteem having sidekick. Great character. By the time she hooks up with Dwayne she's a farce. Smoky southern drawl morphs into a corny fake twang. Sidekick (Millie) disappears. Whitley goes from bourgie to brainless. Garbage. Jumped the Shark when Col. Taylor's half-German son showed up. Remember Terrence? Why was he on the show? What did he add? What episode involving Terrence would have been ANY different if he weren't there? And what was with that ponytail? -- Submitted By: (Icemouth) on August 15, 2014, 10:21 pm
