Hillary Clinton - Celebrities
For once, we got to see a Clinton lose the election. Had Killary been elected, it would have been a co-presidency with her and Slick Willy! She would have killed America! Go Trump! -- Submitted By: (RockinReed) on March 18, 2017, 2:33 pm

It was the worst decision ever to merge with Kmart. Both stores have been drying up left and right in 2016. -- Submitted By: (RockinReed) on October 28, 2016, 11:11 pm

Between the Lions - TV Shows
This show was good 'edutainment' unlike Sesame Street which backslid and never recovered due to the overabundance of Elmo. I think it fared well with youngsters overall. However, in later seasons, they added a segment called "It's a Pig's World" and it was read by the Information hen character whose voice was like nails on a chalkboard! If that was not bad enough, they showed the "It's a Pig's world" segment twice in the same episode!! Did we really need that? It could have done without the Department of Redundancy Department, if you know what I mean. -- Submitted By: (RockinReed) on August 20, 2014, 9:52 pm

Boohbah - TV Shows
All they are is Teletubbies bred with car wash equipment! I saw a 'boobah' in the toy store and just had to sucker-punch it! -- Submitted By: (RockinReed) on February 9, 2014, 10:57 am

PBS Kids Bookworm Bunch - TV Shows
PBS never should have cancelled this! The shows on the "Bookworm Bunch" were wholesome yet entertaining unlike Caillou the whiny brat and that red mongoloid moron that dominated Sesame Street! -- Submitted By: (RockinReed) on February 7, 2014, 2:13 pm

Berenstain Bears (2003) - TV Shows
This is a nice wholesome show on PBS that aired circa 2003. It was neither over the top nor overly politically correct, unlike "Arthur" which boned the fish before this show aired. Some episodes are taken from the books, whereas others are completely new. Fortunately, you can watch a lot of its 13 minute long episodes on Youtube. Note: This 2003 show does not have ties nor affiliation with the Berenstain Bears cartoon that aired in 1985. Simply watching this show brings me back to 2003, in a good way, of course! Parents, if you are looking for a nice wholesome yet entertaining show, please watch this and NOT Caillou the whiny brat! -- Submitted By: (RockinReed) on February 7, 2014, 2:10 pm

Caillou - TV Shows
The problem that people don't seem to be seeing is that this show is supposed to be for parents. "Caillou" is a very thinly veiled attempt to subvert parental authority, and "teach" parents how to behave. Unfortunately, this is exactly how parents should *not* be behaving. In life, there are rules, and we have reasons for them. Kids need to learn the rules, and they become good people by learning what is right and what is wrong. They learn to be polite by seeing other people being polite and also from parents making them be polite. They don't learn manners from whiney, noisy brats, nor from parents who have patience with temper tantrums every two seconds. Caillou is "training" some parents already, as I have seen from some other reviews. Here's a hint: if your kid hits his sister, a patient explanation of why that is wrong is not in order. They already know it is wrong. I hope PBS takes this show off the air and burns the master reels. -- Submitted By: (RockinReed) on February 5, 2014, 11:43 pm

1990's - Random Topics
One thing that stood out to me in the 1990s was that television and film depicted children taking on adult-like roles and outwitting them in some capacity. Then, said kids would get all sorts of recognition for it...yadda, yadda, yadda. I surmise Home Alone kicked that trend off as it was filmed in 1990. Then that film got ripped off by some obscure movie called "Remote" which was direct to video. I think all that ended when Home Alone 3 came out. Aside from the movie aspect, there were those infamous "McWorld" commercials that aired during Sat. morning cartoons and Nickelodeon where it showed how kids would dominate the world one reason or another...then, they would head to McDonalds and end the commercial with "Hey, it could happen!" The only truth to that is with the excess frequenting of McDonald's they would become the size of elephants in no time!! -- Submitted By: (RockinReed) on February 5, 2014, 1:32 pm

Commercials - Random Topics
I grew up watching commercials throughout the years, and the most annoying of commercials are the ones that advertise for children's toys. The kids on there act so happy that they must be on a sugar overdose! They also try to astound the nearby adults with whatever is being advertised. All they convey is "Look at me, I'm the happiest kid in the world because I have...(fill in the blank)" All they want to do is make you feel like you become "them" whenever you acquire whatever item they are marketing. Those who acquire such items want to show off whatever item was advertised and try to fill their peers with envy. I assume that they want their peers to relate them with the kids on TV. Commercials provide a lot of false hope for young children. Whenever I got such advertised items, it was never as fun as it was in the commercial...that is one thing commercials will not tell you. The only people who are truly happy are the marketing execs! All I can say is, EXCITEMENT SOLD SEPARATELY! -- Submitted By: (RockinReed) on February 5, 2014, 11:10 am

High School - Random Topics
Though I went to a rather large public school for a year, I transferred to a smaller school for most of my high school career. Said school was Christian, yet it became Christian in name only when I hit junior status. I made an easy adjustment since I realized that attending the public school was nothing like "Saved by the Bell" at all. I felt that I could be who I was at the so-called Christian school, before it became infiltrated with students that did not belong there. I could tell that the woman in charge was simply trying to get better ratings for the school and not pay much attention to screening potential students. You could take them out of the public school, but you could not take the public school out of them! When I hit senior status, everybody backslid and was horsing around acting goofy, which annoyed me to no end! In a nutshell, I disliked everything about myself in high school: my hair, my weight, and my clothes...I just could not seem to fit in. After I graduated, I went to college, which was much better. -- Submitted By: (RockinReed) on February 3, 2014, 4:57 pm
