FYI- Howard Stern asked Jon Hein about the current state of JTS this week, and he meekly said they changed it, and wouldnt say that it went downhill, he quickly evaded, and said it wasnt his ediotrial control anymore and that it got folded into TV guide, when Howard asked about why they would just change the site, he again brushed it off.... here is the transcription from Mark's Friggin Howard Stern website... Jon Hein- you keep on boning the fish buddy!....................TRANSCRIPT....... Jon Hein came in with his Wrap Up Show preview. Howard said Jon is also the host of The Bonus Show on Howard TV. He said he had some new stuff he wants to throw to the new show. Jon ran down his list of subjects for today's Wrap Up Show. Howard and Jon talked about Mr. Skin wanting to get 20 million for his web site. Jon said that he could probably get 10 million no problem. That led to them talking to Jon about his web site JumpTheShark.com which was absorbed by TV Guide. Jon said that they've kind of lost their identity now because it brings you right into the TV Guide site. Howard said that TV Guide used to be a listing of the TV show listings and they were doing great for years. Then they died when the internet had everything available. Howard asked if he can go on Google and type in ''what's on TV tonight'' and get a list. Jon said that there are ton of sites that have that kind of information so it would probably work. Robin told Howard that he could use his TiVo. Howard said he hates using that guide. It's too hard for him to figure out to see what's on that night. Robin asked Jon if they ask him to do anything with his web site anymore. Jon said that they do once in a while and he's willing to do it but he really doesn't have much control over it now. Jon ran down the rest of the show preview and they ended up talking about the Roger Ebert stuff they were playing this morning. I think with the elimination of the hate votes and political propaganda votes that were stacked and the new voting system that limits how much one IP can vote ovre a certain time will clean the site up. Joebagofdonuts- hate to disagree with you, but we spent hours clearing off the conservative and the liberal vote stacking, and the Dawn Lyn hate votes, and Porche DeRossi Hate votes. Also the voting has ben upgraded to prevent massive vote stacking and the political grandstanding votes. And as for Barack Obama being gold on the site, there seem to be mostly negative comments and votes for him, now that we got rid of the vote stacking on his page. Almost one year old- and all of the Dawn Lyn and crazy vote stacking (was every liberal cause on here voted through the roof) and some goofy conservate causes that were stacked up are all gone. MCS- I cannot imagine what you are talking about- a conservative staff at a University?! We just had a school board election in 2008 or so that the liberal education wonks that work at the university (Penn State) were the folks that were the incumbents. Of course they wanted to spend an incredible amount of money and raise all of our taxes becaause they couldnt imagine any other way to get the job done. Needless to say they lost like 80%-20%. Here is the kicker, they actually ran an article in the paper from these pinheads saying how the local populace was too stupid to understand that they were doing the best thing and that the election didnt make sense. And when you saw these characters- wow what a bunch of liberal former hippy professors (Brewmaster, Im thinking of you!). Penn State leans super super liberal, I have some friends that work there that are conservative and part of the act is you ahve to clam up to be part of the system, it's a real hoot. Swanny- just for you I googled "Global warming" and "earthquakes" and found this article renaming it not "Climate Change" or "Global Warming" but "Global Repositioning" http://www.americanchronicle.com/articles/view/143788 The author specifically blames earthquakes on "Man Made Global Warming". I love it!! The big question I have is what else can be blamed on Global Warming- can solar flares or meteorites be far behind?
