Talk, The - TV Shows
wasn't aware that TV land was clamoring for a "The View" knock-off. It was recently announced that the show was renewed for a second season. Well, like DUH! Like it or not this show may trudge on indefinitely, at least as long as the one host, Julie Chen, remains married to the CBS president and CEO Leslie Moonves. Do you really think he would dare pull the plug on this pile of manure and fish bones and then expect to be able to climb into bed with her at night? Of course not! -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on February 12, 2011, 3:56 pm

Al Franken - Celebrities
I never found this guy funny, even when he was on SNL. More to the point, I wondered who he had some kind of blackmail on to get the gig in the first place. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on January 23, 2011, 9:35 am

lrbloom- I dont think you should go to Cuba, I think RATM and MM should go to Cuba- they HATE america and capitalism!! Go to the socialist paradise of Cuba!!! And they DO have the freedom to look like idiots and stay in the country that they think is evil. And we have the freedom to point out they are hypocrites that dont have the balls to actually act out on their alleged beliefs. One more thing about MM- if he had any balls, he would expose $cientology in a documentary, but he won't because they would come after him full tilt- it's easier to bash George Bush and Insurance companies. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on January 20, 2011, 1:36 pm

Michael Moore - Celebrities
lrbloom- the reason that many of us feel that MM and RATM are just plain old hypocrites is, if they really hated that crazy capitalist thing, then move to Cuba, or even ask to move in with the dear leader in North Korea (much less likely- I see Cuba as a real possibility), liquidate all of their assets, and earnings, and give them to the state, and work for the state producing art, for the Communist state. The NK thing probably is not possible, Im not sure you oculd get in, but Im sure Cuba would welcome both with open arms, and would allow them to produce their art. And if they are true believers in a socialist state, they would have state sponsored conerts, films, and live like everyone else. In fact, then they could both campaign and promote for capitalists to emigrate to Cuba and be socialists, if it was indeed so great. So until something like that happens, I will gladly (and accurately) call both of these entities what they are, hypocrites. You can bash capitalism all you want, but when you are hip deep in it bad mouthing it, don't expect anyone with an IQ above room temperature to take you seriously. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on January 20, 2011, 3:33 am

I am surprised that people are not out just harrassing the bat-shit out of these folks. ANother question I have, do these people work? Who pays for them to travel around the country to random funerals? Hotel, airfare, gas, food, it adds up, do they have jobs? If they have jobs, who lets them take all this time off for various funerals? It's just bizarre to me more and more when I think about it. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on January 12, 2011, 5:31 am

I also notice even the rabid Obama apologists no longer have anything to say about the annointed savior these days. Of course the payments from the DNC for their votes are already spent, so why bother? -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on December 19, 2010, 7:48 am

Barack Obama II - Celebrities
I think the 2 year mark of the Obama presidency has been pretty much a failure. The 2010 mid term elections pretty much gave a definitive answer that the American People don't like Obama's "Hope and Change". -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on December 17, 2010, 12:16 pm

Elaine- if you are going to call me a "Sheeple", please let me know what I said that you can point out as incorrect, and or blatantly false. I'll be glad to change my opinion. Until then, I'm seeing alot of Hyperbole, assumptions and name calling from your end, sounds like you are boning the fish Elaine. I can certainly point out where you have been doing all three of the above on you. Thanks! -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on December 9, 2010, 10:53 am

American South, The - Random Topics
Elaine- Love ya, but I'm lost as to what Dolfan just said that was inaccurate. My premise was that areas that are demographically poor, and more crime prone (read: densely populated) vote democratic (read: democrats tend to make policies that are tailored to the poor and crime prone). In addition, those areas (typically cities) vote democratic over and over again, and many of their troubles remain the same. Since the Democratic politicians can take their support for granted, there is little incentive for the politicians to make changes that will improve the situation. As for calling decoding this to mean "Black People"; there are many people in these areas that are of many different races, creeds etc. The only individual I cited in my example , Ed Rendell, is caucasian, and very liberal. He bones the fish on a daily basis. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on December 8, 2010, 9:10 am

Spiderman has recently taken another nosedive to his once great reputation- SPIDERMAN, TURN OFF THE DARK THE MUSICAL. Muisc by the members of U2, Julie Traynor of Lion King and the Green Goblin and Electro singing a duet to Peter Parker... the pretentious crap doesnt get much thicker than this..... and a new Villain made up by Traynor- "SWISS MISS"- oh Spidey, remember when you were actually cool? Boning hard each week on Broadway and beyond.... My Fish Sense is tingling as I write this... -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on December 8, 2010, 3:31 am

Memphis is a pretty dangerous and high crime urban area, it voted for Obama, you could probably make a statistical correlation between areas that lean democrat, and have a higher per capita crime rate relative to the actual population. Right now in Pennsylvania, that is pretty much the case, Philadelphia votes democratic and is also the most dangerous place in the state on a % basis for crime. When you think about it, it makes sense for a few reasons 1- Democrats tend pander to the Poor, and poor folks are statistically more likely to commit crimes due to lack of education and circumstances 2- Democrats tend to pander to a criminal element with legislation, look up the recent controversy with outgoing Democratic Governor Ed Rendell and the "Castle Act" in Pennsylvania regarding residents using firearms in self defense of their homes and person. If I was a criminal, or someone that was permissive towards criminal behavior, I would definitely support a party that tried to give me a break. So to take Dolfan's side (see above) you can make an argument that high crime areas vote democratic. So to take Elainewood's side here (and play devil's advocate) let me say that the urban communities are voting Democratic under the impression that it will help and or improve their situation(s)- these areas vote this way like clockwork year in and year out. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on December 7, 2010, 5:51 am

Ive been closely following both situations- the AVATAR being put ahead of BAA is tragic- being that Avatar is comlete and utter Shite, and basically only a piece of flashy PC propaganda that folks liked "looking at"- this film was devoid of any heart, emotion or storytellign that wasnt plagarized and sold to the audience as a 3rd grade level. BAA is an amazing story told now over 22 volumes that is INCREDIBLE. This is a waste to put avatar (note now in all small case) above BAA. The censorship thing with his publisher will pass, I think Kishiro wanted out of his publishing deal or something, not as concerned with this. Let me know if anyone wants links to this situation and I will post for you! -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on November 27, 2010, 7:30 pm

Nip/Tuck - TV Shows
I just did some research and saw that NIP TUCK did indeed end at episode #100- I hadnt even heard about it in about 3 years, and this used to be something that had some real edge and people talked about, from what I read, it sounded like it had a real "non-ending" the show Boned at the end of season 2 with the start of the "Carver" storyline which went into the start of the show becoming totally ridiculous, it thrived when it lived right on the edge of things being very strange, but not too much. It's a shame because htis show had incredible potential, and they blew it. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on November 9, 2010, 4:04 pm

Walking Dead, The - TV Shows
This show is every horror fan's dream. A truly well written and executed slow placed horror series with no schlock, gimmicks and great practical and cgi effects. Also it has great writing, and a great director - Frank Darabont, as well as a great creator/source material- Robert Kirkman & The original comic (ongoing series)- do yourself a favor and watch this show. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on November 9, 2010, 5:50 am
