Van Halen BTF when their pirate leader left (or was fired, depending on which interview with Ed you read back in the day). I was a Sammy fan way before he stepped in to try and fill Dave's shoes. Magnum P.I. - TV Shows
Never boned. The only episode that could have come close was "Mack's Back" and even that episode managed to blend all of the qualities that made Magnum such a great show - humor, heart, the bond that the main four characters shared. It wrapped up the loose ends from earlier episodes, and brought back Mack - kind of. Magnum P.I. was the rare TV show where the lead character is fully developed from the pilot. Much of that was due to Tom Selleck's input (the original idea was for Magnum to own the Ferrari and be a jet-set playboy of a Private Eye...pardon me, Private Investigator).
