Bone The Fish - Most Recent Comments!

Who said you can't coin your own term? What is "Boning the Fish"? It's a moment. A defining moment when you know that your favorite TV Show, Celebrity, Movie Series or Music Group has reached its peak. That instant you know from now on...it's all downhill. Some call it a climax of sorts. We call it "Boning the fish". From that moment on things will simply never be the same.

King of the Hill - TV Shows
It's a shame people can't seem to look past the premise about a family of "hillbillies". KotH was not always bad, but times changed for the worse. It needs to cancel for its own good, but apparently, it was done to make room for a Family Guy spinoff. If you think this show shouldn't cancel, look at the Simpsons now. See what happened to them? Know why it happened? It's because they didn't cancel when the show was starting to go downhill. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 10, 2009, 2:12 pm

Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In - TV Shows
The Last Season! No Goldie, no Arte, no Judy, no JoAnne equalled no fun! And Ruth Buzzi was funny and tried so hard but she just couldn't carry the whole show by herself! IMO,the show itself had long since gone from being cutting edge and clever satire to being a stupid self-parody of its glory days! They should have just called it a day when most of the cast exited. -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on May 10, 2009, 2:09 pm

If it's cleverly done (see "Green Acres" , "Rocky and Bullwinkle",etc. ), I like it when characters break the fourth wall on occasion to include us viewers! However; I hated this show's constant repetition of that deal with the attitude of" Ha! Ha! HA! All of us brillant performers on the show KNOW we're in a sitcom but we can't quit hitting you dumb viewers over the head with such an obvious fact at least every other minute we're on!" -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on May 10, 2009, 1:54 pm

Day 1. He can't act, he talks like his lips are paralyzed, he's a royal smart-ass, and it's a mystery how he ever got famous in the first place. Rush Limbaugh - Celebrities
Limbaugh is a real-life Eric Cartman: i.e. a fat, ugly, self-hating bigot and hate-monger of Germanic descent, who believes that he's somehow smarter and superior to everyone else without doing any real work to earn it. He BTF when he was a discovered drug-addict, and he proved himself a hate-monger when he said that "discovery of a gay gene would lead to abortions of any fetus discovered with it, just like if it was going to be an ethnic minority." Then he proceeded to list details, saying "if you knew it was going to be an ugly freckled redhead" etc. That's EXACTLY what Cartman said in the South Park episode "Ginger Kids!" This is no different from saying "ugly black African," or "ugly big-nosed Jew," or "ugly slant-eyed Asian" or similar ethnic description; it's just that Limbaugh is also a COWARD who gets rich by casting popular slurs at people whom he thinks can't hurt him. Basically he's comparing homosexuality to ethnicity-- and saying that they're BOTH A DEFECT! Limbaugh is an obvious hate-monger who simply HIDES his hate, so that his fans can DENY it-- but there's no way he can be on the radio for 20+ years and still hide his hate- any more than he can hide his drug-addiction. He simply VALIDATES popular right-wing hate of the GOP, making them feel superior at other people's expense-- and he denies it, by simply calling himself "politically incorrect." Like all successful haters, he starts out by making some sense, then gradually catering to popular hate of one group: and to deny this, is also to deny that he's a drug addict. -- Submitted By: (SarahGoodwich) on May 10, 2009, 1:37 pm

Began Boning around 2001-ish and is slowly getting worse. They play the same shows way too much (the schedule is basically 15 hours of SpongeBob, iCarly and Fairly Oddparents... And whatever random newer show they cancel after a season and a half for no good reason). They had some good shows back in the day, Doug, Pete and Pete, Wild and Crazy Kids, Pre Games Ren and Stimpy, Rocko, Angry Beavers, Hey Arnold, etc. Even a few newer ones, Invader Zim, Pre Movie Spongebob and Pre movie FOP were good. Sadly, they started getting all this garbage, All Grown Up, Rocket Power, The X's, Mr Meaty, I Carly, Zoey 101, Drake and Josh, etc. Boring, annoying, unfunny shit. Yeah, after John K left, the show was not as great... There was the occasional good episode, Like the one with Ren's Evil clone, The Lincoln Memorial episode, and the one where they are marooned on the island w/the Kahuna, but God ones like the Dinner Party and the Yaksmas episode... Why?? -- Why did they make all these bad episodes anyway? They should have just ended it or something instead of this.. Give me Robin Hoek, The crying Giant and Commander Ren & Cadet Stimpy... -- Submitted By: (Ken) on May 10, 2009, 12:18 am

SpongeBob SquarePants - TV Shows
I agree, it was after the movie. The show started off good, and fresh, I heard somewhere they planned to end the show with the movie (to go out with a bang), But the Execs at Nick milked the cash cow dry, and continued. The animation wasn't as good, the jokes and writing, etc. Sponge and Pat are now stupid, Krabs is more greedy and a jerk, Squidward is the victim/abuse taker, Sandy is almost non-existant... -- Submitted By: (Ken) on May 10, 2009, 12:07 am

Courage the Cowardly Dog - TV Shows
Probably Never boned. The show was fresh beginning to end. (Believe the show got better Animation and FX wise later in the run) Yeah, it did get a little preachy later in the show, (Curtain of Cruelty and the Goat ep.) and it was sad to see Ustus'(sp?) voice actor pass away, But god with stuff like King Ramses, the NYC Ep (The Violin Girl), the Harvest moon, the Windmill Vikings, the Space Squid and the "You're not perfect-t-t-t" Guy, it was great. -- Submitted By: (Ken) on May 9, 2009, 11:58 pm

Cartoon Network - Random Topics
Boned when the started airing live action. Lord knows who's idea this was, but it pretty much defeated the whole purpose of the channel. It began going downhill around 2004-ish when they killed off The Powerhouse Bumpers(Didn't really care though, I hated the new logo though) They canceled Jhonny bravo, Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Sheep in the Big City and all the others. Nothing could beat the classics, but they did have some good newer shows. Foster's Home and Billy and Mandy were good ones for example, (But of course they canned them) but they got WAY too much crap though, Class of 3000, Jennifer Lee (or whatever), My Gym Partners a Monkey, (UGH) and Out of Jimmy's @$$... (DEAR GAWD). Again, what's this LIVE ACTION crap doing on CARTOON Network? Chowder was a step in the right direction though. Cartoon Network is not as good as it once was, it still has some good shows, but the channel itself is still dying a slow painful death. -- Submitted By: (Ken) on May 9, 2009, 11:37 pm

I liked The Sixth Sense, Signs and Unbreakable. When I saw Unbreakable in the theatre, at the end it states how Mr Glass was sentenced to so many years in prison, etc. We're standing up to leave and the lady in front of us leaves over to her husband and asks "Was this a true story?" I burst out laughing right in her face. -- Submitted By: (rick283) on May 9, 2009, 11:01 pm

I've sold hundreds of items and only ever had an issue once. I have to agree that the seller has no rights. I shipped out an item, about five weeks later I get a message stating that the buyer was challenging the charge through VISA, which he used to make his PayPal payment. I had a USPS tracking number that showed the package had been delivered to the listed address. I could never even find out why the buyer was challenging the charge (never received it, wrong item, didn't make the purchase, etc). Needless to say, the money got refunded, I lost the merchandise AND PayPal charged me a $10 'investigation fee'. -- Submitted By: (rick283) on May 9, 2009, 10:55 pm

Rush Limbaugh - Celebrities
Boiled down to essentials, I think he got boned when I heard him say on the radio (and I quote) "There's no evidence smoking is HARMFUL!" No evidence?! If he'd had had said " I've heard all the evidence of how smoking's harmful but I don't CARE what it's supposed to do to me or those who want to hang out with me because I like smoking and will do it as long as I can!" , I could have had some respect for his POV even though I disagree with his smoking stance. However; to say that there's "no evidence" of it being harmful blatantly ignores data that's been public record the last 40 odd years (to say nothing of the tobacco companies' own internal records going back decades further)! And he claims to be broadcating the whole truth and nothing but. The above quote seems to show the validity of that assertation. -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on May 9, 2009, 1:48 pm

King of the Hill - TV Shows
I wish people could appreciate the subtlety of the humor of KOTH instead of gags that are obviously humorous , that is what makes an animated show gold, like the early days of the Simpsons for example. I will really hate to see this one go. You should see what it is being replaced with, yet another Seth Macfarline abomination.King of the hill got better as the seasons progressed though I was never a fan of the Bobby centered episodes. I don't think it jumped completely, but adding a character and killing one is a tell tale sign of an uhh boned fish (??)At any rate I love this show and pretty much anything Mike Judge puts his name on. -- Submitted By: (joeyschmoey) on May 9, 2009, 1:46 pm

Katie Holmes - Celebrities
Katie Holmes answers a question that I have wondered about for a long time- would you sell your soul to the devil for fame and fortune- and Katie has shown us what that means in 2009. A mid level actress wants to be "A" list, so she gets her wish, by joining the evil cult of $cientology!! Look at those lifeless eyes and the multiple handlers watching over her every move. Good bye old friends and old life, hello daily cult brainwashing in your arranged fake marriage. It's really sad to see a once vibrant person sell out to such an insidious organization to be on the front page of the tabloids as Tom Cruise's "fake" wife. I'll take my random regular life over that any day- katie, you joined $cientology, and "Boned the Xenu Fish" at the same time!!! -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on May 9, 2009, 1:38 pm

I agree with everything said below me. The commercials are pandering, and just stupid. The slogans don't even make sense anymore: "It's who I am and what I do?" What the hell does that have to do with fast food. My least favorite one is the one where the stupid looking black girl does karate during the commercial, as though McDonalds helps her get through karate practice. Anyone who actually does anything requiring physical fitness knows that that is a lie, eat anything from McDonalds, and you'll be too busy taking a dump to do any strenuous physical activity. Never boned? NEVER BONED? You gotta be kidding me! It boned beyond all reason! There are more bad episodes than good ones because it didn't cancel for over 10 years! Stop watching the new episodes. King of the Hill - TV Shows
When Lucky became a regular, it had a chance to bone back by losing him. But when Luanne got pregnant out of wedlock and Lucky was forced to marry her, it clinched his place as a permanent member. Then they kill off Cotton in the most idiotic way possible, and we finally meet Luanne's dad...who goes from the victim of domestic abuse to a criminal who winds up getting locked up for life under the three strikes law. Many shows prove that you can still bone the fish after it's been boned already. Unfortunatly, KotH jumped on that bandwagon. What a shame. I'm glad to hear it's going to cancel, since it needs to be put out of its misery (like the Simpsons. Look what happened because they insisted on continuing!). If they didn't cancel, they would make more bad episodes: maybe killing off Dale or Bill or Boomhauer, or Bobby getting Connie pregnant. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 9, 2009, 11:39 am

What does the world being full of stupid ignorant people that are out of shape have to do with anything about gaming? There were still a lot of people in the world that were ignorant and out of shape back when the NES and SNES were out. And what I said about new generations of gaming wasn't an opinion. It was fact. If technology didn't advance, then there wouldn't be any 8-bit or 16-bit video games. Hell, there wouldn't be any video games in particular. Technology has to advance whether you think it should or not. I agree somewhat on what you said, because it's messed up how quickly it does advances though. You could have you hands on something that's considered the best thing, and then as little as 2 years later something else pops up and makes the thing you first bought obsolete. Personally, I like how video games have advanced from being simplistic looking with limited functions in gameplay like Pong, to being absolutely gorgeous and realistic looking with pretty much absolute freedom like Grand Theft Auto IV or Mass Effect. If I were you two, I'd go on eBay and try to buy the old consoles and games again, or use emulators and roms and play all of the classics right on the computer. -- Submitted By: (McT) on May 9, 2009, 7:32 am

But instead, it's the same old measly three wishes! At least in The Fairly OddParents, Timmy Turner gets unlimited wishes from Cosmo, Wanda, and later, Poof. But Kazaam seemed like a good thing, then turned disaster. Now it is at most like a ripoff of Space Jam, the movie starring Michael Jordan as himself. Whaddya think? -- Submitted By: (Marcus) on May 8, 2009, 7:31 am

McDonalds - Random Topics
They definitely boned when they removed their mascots, like Grimace, Hamburglar, etc. And as for good old Ronald McDonald, they don't give him much airtime anymore. It's sad to see that this happened and that it was replaced by all this Negro hip hop crap that's only enjoyed by morons. -- Submitted By: (Marcus) on May 8, 2009, 7:13 am

You know, I hadnt noticed that the classic characters have been eliminated in favor of the hip hop/ urban branding of McDonalds. Definitely a BTF move, I'm NOT loving it. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on May 8, 2009, 5:38 am

I'm with Travoltron. I miss hamburglar, Ronald Mcdonald, grimace, captain crook, mayor mccheese, etc, etc. AQnd I cant stand their current advertising. You ever notice that they never advertise their big macs, cheeseburgers, french fries, and shakes anymore? Now they play up all the healthy stuff they have added to their menu. The salads, the chicken sandwiches, etc. I miss their old commercials. -- Submitted By: (bmovies) on May 7, 2009, 11:17 pm

Simpsons, The - TV Shows
I have every season until nine, but even ten and eleven have a few gems. I had stood by the simpsons through its tasteless attempts to compete with South Park and Family Guy, I've stuck by recycled gag after story line, I have stuck by after shameless apple product placement buy my dang the camels back was split in two when those sneaky bastards " updated " the opening credits. All in the Family - TV Shows
If you think All in the Family was bigoted and politically incorrect, you're clearly not watching any other shows they have on TV today. AitF satirized the stupidity of being a bigot. When it came to Archie's bigotry, he was always in the wrong and it bit him in the butt by the episode's end. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 7, 2009, 1:56 pm

Aladdin - TV Shows
It's been so long since I've seen the show, but here goes: Mechanicles the greek inventor, and Mozenrath the sorcerer were cool. So was Arbutus the plant man. Those are the only good villains from the TV show that I can think of right now. If I remember correctly, many of the TV show's villains were not cool. Amin Damoolah? Ayam Aghoul? Two stupid villains with two stupid pun names. I don't really remember them, likely because they were not very memorable. Give me good old (bad old?) Jafar over any of them, any day! -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 7, 2009, 1:44 pm

Moment of Truth (U.S.) - TV Shows
Ah, the Moment of Truth. How low can you go? Apparently, it seems that humankind can never go low enough. The contestants who choose to enter this show and wind up being humiliated and embarrassed don't deserve sympathy. They are idiots who deserve everything they get. The only people who deserve sympathy are the people who the contestants humilate and ruin with their heartbreaking confessions and secrets. And I still think the lie detectors are rigged. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 7, 2009, 1:14 pm

Don't tell me I'm the only one! The world is out of shape and is filled with many stupid and ignorant people. Wii is almost not a video game system in many cases. In those cases it's an interactive peace of crap! Nintendo has come out with far too many new systems. The last new system should have been the N64. That's about as good as the graphics get. It's just like new versions of a software product aren't always better than previous ones. All 6 of you suck ass!! -- Submitted By: (Marcus) on May 7, 2009, 12:30 pm

Earth won't survive in a billion years because the sun will haved burned out by then. But I agree that all these old consoles deserve to be respected. New consoles are fun, but it's old NES and SNES games that really trigger my gaming nostalgia. There are many good Wii games out there, though they will never top the greatness of the classics. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 7, 2009, 12:15 pm

Simpsons, The - TV Shows
I have every season up to season 8 on DVD. I feel season 9 is when they just stopped caring. Skinner was an impostor, All Singing All Dancing was just a clip show where they did nothing but sing and remember clips in which they sang (What great writing!), male Simpsons turn out to inherit being stupid (Even though Herb Powell was a very intelligent man), and the garbage episode was...well, garbage! I really can't name an episode I liked from that season. I don't want season 9 on DVD. If I got it as a gift, it's likely that I'd never watch it. And I've seen someone else's boxed set of season 11. Just cardboard with the DVDs trapped inside. Proof positive how little respect they have for their fans. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 7, 2009, 11:34 am

Jon and Kate Plus 8 - TV Shows
I vote Day One! This couple seemed to greedily accept the offer of their tiny children being on a 'reality show' almost as soon as they bore the sextuplets. I tried watching a few times but they soon revealed that they were willing to leave NOTHING private for their children when they actually showed them toilet training. TMI, folks! Would anyone like it had our parents broadcast those times in our lives for the whole world to see? Don't think so! That was IT for me! No surprise those kids are often hyper and bratty with camera crews living in their house almost 24/7 -not to mention their mother often shown being rather high-strung and domineering towards them and their whiny father. Neither parent now seems to attempt to earn any income besides what the show, speaking engagements, articles and books are paying them. Yep, virtually every dime they make seems connected to exploiting young children who were too young to have even been asked if they'd wanted that! So, now the parents are upset that the media has revealed that their OWN private lives may not be as picture picture as they want to present. I don't know if the claims of Jon's boozing and cheating are true and I don't CARE. But after several years of exploiting their children's privacy for financial gain, they shouldn't act surprised that other folks are now trying to exploit THEIRS! Cry a river on someone else's shoulder, folks! I only hope the damage done to those children by all this can be overcome. -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on May 7, 2009, 9:57 am
