Calling it quits? Really? BTF had a lot of bumpy roads in its first years: the small handful of users with an obsession against Dawn Lyn, the vote stacking fiasco, the political arguments, etc., and most of us stuck around. The JTS comments don't bother me, though I think making an "Old JTS Comments!" page for them would be something all of us can agree on. That said, here's hoping you change y...... spacer, I liked the show too- and I always thought the interaction between the parents Jim and Margaret was cool. Still, I have to admit that it might have been better had it ended a few years earlier when poor Kitten went through rather awkward teens [though, it turns out they were FAR less traumatic onscreen than off for her]. ... Spock was certainly an American cultural icon and I feel as if we have lost a Living National Treasure with the passing of Mr. Leonard Nimoy. I can't even remember the first Star Trek episode I ever saw-- he's literally been an ever-present part of my life. It's going to be hard to imagine a world without him. And any other actor that has attempted to portray Spock has paled in comparison.... (read more comments)

@bmovies...in case you don't know, several members of the site requested that I post comments from the old Jump The Shark site because they wanted to see them because they can't access the pages through the Wayback Machine anymore. If you don't like posts, you can ignore them. The moderators of the site clearly have no problem with me posting the content, so I don't see why it's such a big deal...... (read more comments)

It's hard for me to get into these Olympics when Putin is such a slimeball. I don't like Obama at all, but I'll give him credit for not going over there to support this guy. Also, the lack of infrastructure, the treatment of LGBT, the killing of stray dogs and the high price tag for little return ($51 billion!!!!) has sealed the deal in keeping me uninterested. Ice Hockey is the only sport of t...... (read more comments)

The 1st season of this show was about an aging family physician (Barnard Hughes), his wife, their daughter and son-in-law (John Harkins). Moosie Dryer played his grandson, with Mary Wickes as his nurse. Funny show in season one, good enough to be renewed. The 2nd season was a complete disaster. Everyone was written out. Doc's wife was killed off. The rest of his family apparently moved aw...... (read more comments)

I can be a bit of a conspiracy theorist at times and I really honestly think that 'Sam & Cat' was AG's little insurance policy if the new CD flopped. You know, CD flops, well there's always the show she could fall back on. It seems to me that when her music career started really getting some steam going, that's when we started hearing about trouble on the set. Just a theory.... (read more comments)

I was inclined to cut Masterson some slack for having been born into $cientology, and therefore not having had a true choice regarding whether or not to follow it. However, with his recent pfofanity-laden defense of the Hubbard $cam, he's earned the automatic fish-boning in his own right: https://celebrity.yahoo.com/blogs/celeb-news/danny-masterson-scientology-182855630.html... I have to agree with the large number of voters who have said they officially unboned with their new CD, A Different Kind of Truth. I bought it as soon as it was released and have listened to it enough now to realize that Van Halen is officially back. Is Mario even a relevant character in this generation of gaming? I mean, all he has going for him is rehashes of Super Mario Bros, Mario Karts and Mario Party. Mario used to be like white hot from late 80s throughout 90s and early '00s. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64 etc. But it seems he's in a weird typecast kind of position with his games.... (read more comments)

One of the few cases where a TV Show stayed strong until the very end. It started with fresh characters and an interesting dynamic in the first season, ended with a very memorable cliff-hanger the second season, became really strong for the third season. After this, the show became somewhat a mixed package, mostly because there are only so many ways to con someone, but it was still going strong...... (read more comments)

You guys act too childish to me. Not everyone is going to like the Goldbergs. To me, it went downhill when items from the early 1990s such as Hypercolor, New Kids junk, 8 Ball Jackets (I pretty sure I saw one) and that Bo Knows shirt turned up in '1980 Something'. I have no problem with the 80s pop culture references being scrambled around because the show is set in '1980 Something'(not an a...... (read more comments)

In the more distant past (the fifties and sixties), there were spectacular UFO visitation stories, and occasionally photographs of the UFO were taken. Patton Oswalt, speaking to the critics of the show that demand 100% historical accuracy said it's not supposed to be an exact snapshot in time. If you listen to the way he delivers the line "it was September 8th (or whatever) 1980-something" you will hear him hesitate and almost mumble the last part because the character of adult Adam is embarrassed by his faulty memory. A running gag with the ...... (read more comments)
